This is my result of my (passed!) admissions test for the Filmuniversität Babelsberg (Scenography Master's, specialisation VFX).
The task I chose was to create a set extension/concept art based on a photograph by Edward Burtynsky (you can find it if you scroll to the bottom) in a bit less than 2 days.
In my finished work, the constructions from the photograph are a kind of harvesting machine used to dismantle a huge fish-dragon-monster for its parts, which are carried off in a ship. I would love to explore this world a bit more--what do they use the bones for? Maybe they're used for construction as well? Maybe in the future!
