Result of a uni task! :) We were given a 3D scan of a head and told to present some sort of "feeling" through abstraction/playing around with the technical possibilities with any tool, basically. I chose ZBrush and Blender.
Everything in this render apart from the skulls was originally the same head, including the spiralling thing in the background hehe
Modelling/posing/abstraction in ZBrush and Blender, lighting/shading/rendering in Blender with cycles. Finally, some last edits in Photoshop. I hope you like! :)
